I’ve come a long way as a knitter in the past year. I’ve gotten better overall, and have learned a number of valuable lessons.
Everybody loves yarn! But, not all fibers are created equal. Here are some thoughts on why I love merino, and don’t love alpaca so much.
This week, I’ve got some Charade socks on needles, and I’m almost done with my Mondo hood, and *gasp*, The Sweater I (mostly) No Longer Speak Of™.
My first pair of socks are done! I used the Spot Check stitch pattern and the Lifestyle Toe Up formula to make them, and I’m pretty proud of the results.
Can I just say that I love the Wabbit Season hat? It’s so clever, with it’s little ear flap pockets and everything! And, for the record, pompoms make me crazy happy!
I’m making a sweater, because we haven’t already seen me fail at large item knitting! This one is going much more smoothly though, and I actually have hope of finishing it in the near-ish future.
My brother left bananas in the car. When I found them, they were far too ripe to eat, but perfect for making banana bread with! Here is the recipe, so you too can do something with your brown bananas.
I’ve finally finished my Prickly gloves, and they rule, despite the fact that they’re uneven because of the difference in my skill between when I started and finished them.
