Finished Object: Summer Lace Shawl. A very open, light weight rectangular shawl that I made by knitting a scarf pattern on big needles with extra stitches cast on.
I don’t know what’s going wrong lately, but man, suddenly I just CAN’T KNIT anymore. Everything I touch goes completely wrong.
I’m knitting Geodesic Cardigan as my first garment. In retrospect, this may not have been the best “first project” I could have chosen, for various reasons.
It turns out that the legions of sock knitters are not crazy. I went the lemming route and dove in, and am really enjoying sock knitting so far! I made one “everyday sock” and have cast on a Monkey. Next up is a toe up sock with a slip stitch pattern. I opened a can of worms here!
It seems like everybody knits socks, and I feel a little left out. I’m not sure if I want to knit socks,or if I just feel peer pressured to! Either way, they seem kind of intimidating.
I’ve been looking into incorporating some beading into my knitting, and found a pattern than I like. Now I’m excited to add beads to other things!
I made a knitting needle roll out of super cute fabric, and now my stuff is organized, yay!
